Complete Baby Shoe Size Chart

A study by D.R Wenger shows that children between the age of 12 to 30 months will need their shoes to be changed every 2 to 3 months. However, those from 4 years and above would require 4 months.

But the truth is, the growth rate and interval of children’s feet differ. The shoe size of your 4 months old baby might be different from Mrs. B’s baby who is of the same age as yours.

To be on the better side, you might want to be taking the measurement of your baby’s feet every 2 to 3 months. Alas! The steps involved are simple.

How to measure your baby’s shoe size

  • Get a ruler or a measuring tape
  • Measure from the heel to the longest toe (ensure the baby’s toes are not curled)
  • Using the baby shoe size charts below (depending on the age), determine what shoe size your baby needs

Note: If the value you got from your measurements is slightly different from the one on these charts, kindly approximate your value forward. The shoe size should be slightly more than it is less.

The extra space will not only create healthier foot growth but would also permit a longer usage of the footwear.

Quick shoe fit tips for your baby

  • When measuring, allow an extra space of about half inch (1.27 cm) for comfort sake
  • Take the length of the longer foot if there is disparity in their sizes.
  • You would get a better fitting if you fit the widest part of the foot to the widest part of the shoe
  • Choose shoes made with cloth, canvas, or leather material over ones made of plastic and rubber. Shoes of latter materials tends to cause sweaty feet.
  • Choose oval or square shaped shoes for babies, especially those between 0 — 12 months.
